As a Senior Interaction Design Consultant embedded with Target's onsite UX team, I partnered with product managers, engineers, and researchers to optimize the end-to-end Cart and Checkout experience. I audited the customer journey, identified friction points, and designed responsive wireframes and interaction patterns that streamlined the path from cart to purchase. Working closely with cross-functional teams, I aligned customer needs with business objectives while refining content, information hierarchy, and key interaction patterns across the checkout flow.
Through iterative design, competitive analysis, usability research, and ongoing A/B customer testing, I helped identify, validate, and refine improvements that reduced friction throughout the checkout experience. I learned that even small changes to copy, interaction patterns, and button placement significantly improved checkout completion rates, demonstrating the measurable impact of thoughtful interaction design. These optimizations enhanced the customer experience, increased conversion, and contributed to more than $100K in incremental revenue through improved checkout completion. My work helped refine Target's transactional experience by creating clearer, more intuitive interactions that supported both customer satisfaction and business growth.
I iteratively designed responsive checkout experiences, developed wireframes and interaction patterns, and collaborated with cross-functional partners to translate customer insights into measurable business outcomes. My work balanced customer needs with business goals, helping create a more intuitive and effective shopping experience for Target customers
